BENEFITS OF BOTOX

Botox® is a neuromodulator or botulinum toxin injectable derived from the bacteria Clostridium botulinum, a naturally occurring muscle relaxant and the same toxin commonly triggered by food poisoning. In small doses, botulinum toxin injections are approved by the Food and Drug Administration to smooth wrinkles. Botox injections are used to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. Botulinum toxin type A temporarily prevents facial muscles from contracting by blocking the signal from the nerve ending to the muscle. When facial muscle movement is hindered, wrinkles cannot form on the overlying skin.
